I am currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and an affiliated faculty member of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI). I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016. Before joining MTSU in 2017, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University. I also was a visiting fellow at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research and Chulalongkorn University.
My research focuses on international trade, trade policy, tariffs and optimal taxation, and WTO rules and trade agreements. I also conduct empirical research on Asian economies, particularly Thailand, including the economic consequences of political shocks and military coups.
Anna Lukianova and I are organizing the MTSU Economics Research Seminar during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Seminars are held online via Zoom on Wednesdays from 2:30–3:30 p.m. or in person on Fridays from 12:30–2:00 p.m. in the SunTrust Room (BAS S326). Please feel free to contact me if you would like to present your work.
